Building Stronger Children & Families Through Social-Emotional Learning (SEL)

Empowering parents and children to thrive with Emotional Intelligence through

Workshops, and Enrichment programs

                About The EASY Program

The EASY  Program is dedicated to empowering families by teaching essential social-emotional learning (SEL) skills that foster emotional intelligence, growth, resilience, and strong relationships.

Our mission is to create a supportive environment where parents and children alike can learn how to navigate emotions, communicate effectively, and build meaningful connections.

We serve parents who want to enhance their parenting approach and children who are ready to develop the confidence and emotional intelligence needed to succeed in life. Through workshops, after-school enrichment, summer camps, and Saturday programs, we provide practical tools that bring SEL to life in a way that’s relatable and actionable for families.

What sets us apart is our holistic approach to SEL—bridging the gap between home and community while addressing the emotional, social, physical, and spiritual well-being of each family. The EASY Program makes personal growth a journey that’s not just impactful but also enjoyable. Together, we’re building stronger families for a brighter future.

                  Why The EASY Program?

In today’s fast-paced world, many families struggle with emotional communication, stress, and finding meaningful ways to connect. The EASY Program bridges that gap by teaching practical SEL strategies that help parents and children better understand themselves and each other. Our goal is to make emotional intelligence accessible, empowering children and families to thrive together.

Founder’s Note

Hi, I’m Imani, a doctoral researcher and the founder of The EASY Program. My passion lies in building stronger families and creating opportunities for growth through social-emotional learning (SEL). With a background as a social studies teacher, I saw firsthand how students thrived in a student-centered environment that emphasized collaboration and critical thinking. But I also noticed something missing—an informal curriculum that could teach students the emotional intelligence and life skills they need to truly succeed. That’s where Social Emotional Learning comes in.

At The EASY Program, we make SEL accessible to everyone because, let’s face it, emotional intelligence isn’t something we’re often taught or encouraged to develop. Many schools and communities leave a gap in fostering these essential skills, and I’m committed to bridging that gap. Through my doctoral research, I’ve been curating the best SEL and expeditionary learning (EL) practices to help families and students thrive.

Expeditionary Learning, inspired by the NYC Outward Bound framework, emphasizes hands-on, real-world experiences that push participants to grow through challenge and discovery. At The EASY Program, we align this approach with our SEL enrichment activities to create dynamic, engaging opportunities for children to build resilience, communication skills, and self-awareness.

Whether you’re here for a workshop, an afterschool program,  summer camp or just a little inspiration, I’m thrilled to have you join us on this journey. Together, we’re not just learning skills—we’re fostering growth, strengthening communities, and preparing for a brighter future.

Let’s grow together!
